The second session of the ICC Women's ODI World Championship will be held from 2017 to 2020. In this, the Indian team will play the first round of the tournament against South Africa from February 5 to 10. The International Cricket Council (ICC) launches women's championship in Delhi in the presence of Indian captain Mithali Raj and former captain Anjum Chopra.
As part of the championship, India Women, who have not played any matches since the World Cup final against England in July, will play two matches on February 5 and 7 in Kimberley, Africa. While the final match of the series will take place on February 10 in Pochefstrom.
The women's championship will be in the format of the first session till 2014-16, in which all eight teams of Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and the West Indies will play against each other in the three one-day series, Will climb on the field.
The World Cup 2021 hosts New Zealand and three other top teams of the championships will get direct entry into this prestigious competition, while the other four teams will get the second chance through the ICC Women's World Cup Qualifier. In addition to the four teams in the qualifiers, four teams from Africa, Asia, East Asia Pacific and Europe will participate.
The West Indies will host Sri Lanka from October 11 to 15 in the first series of the championships, while England and Australia will play against each other from October 22 to 29. The Indian women team will also be playing the series of three Tests, six ODIs and three T20 Internationals when the Indian women's team visits South Africa. Indian women team will play at least 21 ODIs from 2018-2019.
