India Lost First Match against America in FIFA U17 Football World Cup

In the first match of the FIFA Under-17 Football World Cup, the US beat India by 3-0. In the inaugural match, teams from India and America were face-to-face in Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. India suffered a 0-3 defeat against the United States. The Indian team struggled a lot, but the Americans were overwhelmed.

However, the Indian players playing the first FIFA World Cup in front of a very experienced US showed great game. Goalkeeper Dhiraj and Komal from India won the hearts of everyone with their performance.

America scored a goal in the first half, while the other half scored two goals. The Indian team could not score a single goal. The first goal of the match was made by US captain Jose Sarget in the 30th minute. In the second half, Chris Durkin in the 51st minute and Andrew Carleton scored the goal in the 84th minute.

America kept pressure on India in the entire match. The Indian team could not remain intensely on both ends, due to which the US got a chance. India also made some close opportunities, but they could not convert them into goals.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on this historic occasion. Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore was also present with him. Prime Minister Modi honored former Indian legendary footballers by giving them solos.

PM Modi honored PK Banerjee, Baichung Bhutia and Sunil Zone, who is India's great football player. Apart from this, Modi has been honoring young football players of India, both of whom are studying in the school, both boys and girls were involved. Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets players from India and America teams. The national anthem of both teams was played.
